Clifford The Big Red Dog: Movie Review

Iris Lee

As Thanksgiving rolls around, another movie has been released! The movie came out pretty recently on November 10th, 2021. The movie was supposed to come out earlier this year, but it was canceled due to the rise of the delta variant.

The movie starts out when a little girl meets a magical animal rescuer, who gives her a little red puppy. However, everyone is baffled when the dog grows into a huge size. The little girl and now big dog go through various conflicts together and learn life lessons. Overall the movie is very wholesome, and I’d say suitable for small children to watch.

Now let’s see what other people think about this show; and it’s message.

“Mr. Bridwell, named after the author, is played by John Cleese who admits he’d never heard of the Clifford books until now. But says the message of the film is what intrigued him.

“I think it’s a timely distraction at a time when there’s so much anxiety in the world,” Cleese said. “You go into this movie and you come out happier. And a bit more optimistic than you were when you went in.”

“Clifford the Big Red Dog” stars Darby Camp, Jack Whitehall, Tony Hale, Sienna Guillory, David Alan Grier, Isaac Wang and John Cleese. It was directed by Walt Becker and will be released by Paramount Pictures in theaters and streaming on Paramount+ on Nov. 10.” Concludes Heather Brooker, a reporter for NBC Los Angeles.
