The Bachelor

The Bachelor is a reality TV series that revolves around a single bachelor looking for love. This season’s “Bachelor” is Matt James, who begins with a pool of romantic interests from whom he is expected to select a wife. The show streams on ABC, Monday, from 8-10 pm. During the course of the season, The Bachelor eliminates candidates each week, eventually ending up in a marriage proposal to his final selection.

“I like Matt because he seems like a nice guy. He beganthe opening party with a prayer, and that really touched my heart. My favorite girl is probably Abigail; she is gorgeous, sweet, pure, and just seems like a great match for Matt. I think it’s gonna be a tough decision for Matt to choose one of the girls as his wife, but for all I know the girls will go crazy with drama and definitely stress him out,” said Grace Gonzales, 7.

Every new episode brings new complications. More girls fight, more decisions are made, and more chaos finds its way back. Since the girls are all dating the same guy, at the same time, and in the same place, drama is sure to happen and escalate very quickly. The Bachelor isn’t just filled with romantic dates and a few girls competing to be his wife, it includes a series of crazy events and conflict.

“I like The Bachelor, but one thing that makes me mad is that he picks bad decisions at the rose ceremonies because he kept “Queen” Victoria in for a while. Overall he is really nice and takes care of the girls while dealing with the drama at the same time. My favorite girl is Mari because she is nice and doesn’t really get in that much drama. I think Mari will be the bride or Katie, but I just hope Victoria will leave, and then there won’t be so much chaos,” said Gabby Peay, 7.

Victoria Larson is one of the girls on the bachelor who Matt could choose as a wife. She refers to herself as “the queen” and likes attention. He doesn’t see what happens with the girls at the house when he’s gone, so he sees potential in her, but after weeks of drama caused by Victoria, another girl in the house confronts her about some of her comments toward the other women in front of Matt. He wasn’t very pleased with what he heard, and Victoria found herself in trouble.

The Bachelor has been going really well so far, but I feel like sooner or later there is going to be a lot of drama between the girls in the house, especially since it’s getting more and more competitive each week,” said Maddie Maxwell, 7.

There is still a lot yet to come with the season only being halfway done. It’s getting harder for Matt to eliminate girls each week. He sees potential in all of them, and some of the girls either take advantage of that or don’t believe it’s true. More events will get heated, but for now, we just have to wait and see what is coming our way.
