As the year 2021 begins, fans across the world are excited for phase 4 of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).

The MCU is an American media franchise and fictional universe based on a series of superhero films, taking inspiration from Marvel Comics. Something that makes the MCU so impressive is that all the Marvel characters are existing in the same universe, interacting with each other and following a large storyline that includes everyone and everything. This is why Avengers: Endgame was the highest-grossing film ever made.

“I’m excited about the new Black Widow movie because Natasha is amazing, and her character has so much depth, and the creators have so much room to explore and expand upon,” said Oliva Lee, 8.

As phase 3 ends with Avengers Endgame, the sequential phase 4 of the MCU kicks off with the film Black Widow, which releases in May and will showcase Natasha Romanoff’s origin story. The TV series, Loki, will premiere in May as well, displaying the god of mischief traveling through space and time.

“I’m wanting to see the new Spiderman movie that’s coming out in December because all of the past Spiderman movies have turned out good so far. I heard that it’s a sequel to Far From Home, and all the people that play in it are great actors like Zendaya and Tom Holland,” said Dominique Iannarelli, 8.

Another Marvel film, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will release in July and will be the first Asian led superhero movie. Since it’s part of the MCU, it will undoubtedly have a connection with the other heroes and movies. In August, television series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be released onto the Disney+ platform. It’ll show the newly appointed Captain America teaming up with Bucky Barnes, the Winter Soldier. People are also eager to see The Eternals which tells the story of a race of immortals sent to Earth to protect humankind.

Fans all over the world are waiting patiently for the major movies that Marvel will bring to us in 2021.
