Gender Reveal Fire

Gender reveal party to blame for El Dorado wildfire in Southern California. Dry conditions, record heat, and wind fuel the fire and make conditions difficult for firefighters. California Governor Newsom declared a state of emergency as the blaze destroys thousands of acres and threatens homes.
A couple celebrating the birth of their child got a bigger surprise than expected when pyrotechnics used at their gender reveal party sparked what is now the El Dorado fire. Dry and windy conditions fuel the fire.
Cal Fire is reminding residents that “with dry conditions, it doesn’t take much to start a wildfire.” The fire is burning out of control even as several different groups fight the fire, causing Governor Gavin Newsom to declare a state of emergency for many counties in Southern California.
Over 7000 acres have burned and thousands of homes are being threatened by the El Dorado fire leaving the couple scared for the consequences. “Those responsible for starting fires due to negligence or illegal activity can be held financially responsible” according to Cal Fire. The couple can’t afford to pay for the damages caused by the fire and are warning others to think about having gender reveal parties.
The couple hopes the fire will be put out soon so they can put this disaster behind them and be excited about their baby. They joke that they will have a good story about a gender reveal party state of emergency to their child when he is older.
