Activities to do while in quarantine

The COVID-19 pandemic has many people across the world stuck in their homes creating activities to pass time and have fun.

According to WFTV, “Brian Morris, who is a construction manager and in his spare time, an artist, broke out the sidewalk chalk and created a ‘Chalk Walk’ filled with Disney characters.”

Another outdoor activity for the whole family would be having a camp out in the backyard.

As stated by WFTV, “If the weather cooperates, and you have the gear, string up a hammock, put up a tent, and ‘rough it’ from the safety of your own backyard.”

If you rather stay indoors, it’s the perfect time to make all those delicious meals and desserts that you’ve seen all over the internet.

Psychology Today says, “Make a great YouTube recipe reality and create a meal to be proud of. It’s a good idea to stock up on pasta, rice, canned vegetables, and spices so that more recipes are within reach.”

A different activity to do inside is to create your own at-home movie theatre.

According to Reader’s Digest, “At-home movie projectors have gotten a lot smaller and less expensive in recent years, allowing you to project a new release or family-friendly classic on any blank wall. Pop up some popcorn, set up the pillows, and enjoy the show!”

Instead of family activities, many are taking this abundance of time to treat themselves.

Honeycombers states, “If face masks, body scrubs, and mani-pedis are more your thing, then get busy primping and preening in that department too. Whatever makes you feel good right now, take time to do it.”

As self-quarantine and social distancing continue, use this time to bond and have fun with family or take some alone time to relax.
