In the past decade, scientists and researchers around the world have made extraordinary scientific discoveries that will make an immense impact on our society.
“Black holes of such mass should not even exist in our galaxy, according to most of the current models of stellar evolution,” said author Jifeng Liu, deputy director-general of the National Astronomical Observatories of China at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
In April 2019, scientists identified a new black hole that is 68 times larger than our sun. Black holes are some of the strangest things in our world, and they are extremely dense with such a strong gravitational pull that even light will get sucked in if near. Black holes are made when the center of the star collapses on itself.
” Giant squids are larger than a whale and stronger than an elephant, with a beak that can sever steel cables,” said David Grann, the new yorker.
Japanese researchers finally took a photo of a Giant squid, which is also named as the Architeuthis Dux. Giant squids are carnivores the size of a bus, and the largest one we have ever found was 59 feet long.
“I think that we can live on a planet with water vapor in its atmosphere because on earth, we also have water in the atmosphere, and that makes the water cycle,” said Mrs.Barr, librarian.
NASA recently found a planet which they named K2-18b, and researchers have found water vapor in its atmosphere. The planet is also in the habitable zone, meaning it’s in a region around a star where liquid water can form.
Scientific discoveries are crucial for our future if we want to advance our technology and learn more about our world.
