Netflix is taking off shows; viewers are reeling

Recently, Netflix has started to take off some of their most liked shows causing a negative reaction from their viewers.

“I’m very upset about them taking off shows because I can’t rewatch shows, and I’ll lose my progress on the ones taken off,” said Reeyan Ahmed, 7.

Netflix is a streaming service that allows members to watch a variety of award-winning TV shows, movies, documentaries and more. Netflix is the top streaming app, “The best of the best,” said Tech radar.

“I like it because I get to watch my favorite shows. It has a lot of WWll documentaries which are my favorites,” said Jaden Spriggins, 7.

However, Netflix has started to take off some of their most beloved shows, including Friends and in 2021, The Office. This has left some of Netflix’s viewers with a very negative reaction.

“I think it’s stupid because Friends was the best show ever. I watched it every night before I went to bed, and now I don’t know what to do,” said Aeva Haas, 7.

While we are upset about these changes, it’s not up to Netflix. When a show is added, a license is usually signed for Netflix to be handed ownership. However, some licenses are only temporary, like Friends.

“Even because of these changes, I still love Netflix because there is a large amount of variety to pick from,” said Natalie Lenart, 7.

While we are upset at the moment, it’s never too hard to find another show to watch.
