WSMS recently started a book fair, and it has stirred up a bit competition between the homeroom classes. The classes are competing to see who can donate the most money to charity and score the most points from a number of different activities.

Students can participate in: a daily trivia game, buying books, fulfilling a teacher’s wish, bringing a parent or guardian to the fair, texting a wishlist to a parent/guardian, posting a picture taken at the photo booth and tweeting with #wsmslovejoybookfair (or Instagram tagging @WSMS_Lovejoy), bringing a picture of themselves playing a sport, or donating to the coin drive, which benefits City House Plano.

Just like anything that offers a reward for a winner, teams of homeroom have been competing for first place. Although some might see the ultimate prize as the pizza and ice cream party, it’s all about helping out charity.

As of Thursday afternoon, Willow Springs has hit its goal of $1000 to donate, but coin donations are still being accepted until noon on Friday, April 20.
