Hands4Hope is a part of Club Day at Willow Springs, but it is also more.  Hands4Hope reaches out to the community more than just on club days at WSMS.

graphic by-Kiley Boots, WSMS graphic design 2, created the artwork used for Boo4aBuck last year. The project is in its second year this year, raising funds for community relief.

“It is instilled to provide culture and character development beyond the classroom,” club organizers and WSMS teachers Nicole Sanders and Amy Snodgrass said.

The club, now in its third year, is designed to raise money for the homeless in and around the Dallas area. There are more than 3,000 people homeless in the Collin County area alone. Members and supervisors of the club wish to do their part to help those individuals in need. From giving food aid during the summer months when school is not in session, to helping with holiday relief and or spreading goodwill in and around the campus and community.

The club is bringing its candy gram, “Boo4aBuck,” to WSMS once again. Students can buy a gram for one or more friends during their lunch period. The gram starts on October 24 and ends on October 26. Each “Boo” is worth $1 and will be sent out to the person it is addressed to. The money earned from the candy gram will be sent out to aid those struggling presently or to aide with support with the upcoming Thanksgiving and holiday season.
