Sweet. Then sour. The taste then lingers, tickling taste buds…

These are not your typical Starbucks drinks that one would purchase off the menu.

Starbucks, a popular coffee shop chain, let their imagination run wild, as several new “dreamy” flavored beverages are being introduced to the Starbucks menu for a limited time. These beverages include the Dragon Frappuccino, Mermaid Frappuccino, and none other than the infamous Unicorn Frappuccino.

From April 19 to April 23 the Unicorn Frappuccino was available, although only a couple of days after the Unicorn Frappuccino had been released to stores, the beverage was discontinued due to lack of ingredients. While some people describe the drink as a disgusting, sour nightmare, others describe it as a dream come true. The Unicorn Frappuccino began with a strong berry taste but soon turned bittersweet. The beverage is made with pink powder blended into cream Frappuccino with mango syrup and a layer with a sour blue drizzle.

Starbucks locations that ran out of the raw materials to make the Unicorn Frappuccinos, put their own spin on the materials that they had, creating the Dragon Frappucino. The Dragon Frappuccino was a green and pink blend that some people who tried it said that it tasted like green tea with other added ingredients in it.

Lastly, Starbucks locations across the country decided to create a drink in honor of their logo, a mermaid, by creating the Mermaid Frappuccino. Being a spin-off of the Pokémon Go Frappuccino, the only difference between the two Frappuccinos, was an added drizzle on top. Many of those who tried the unique drink, said that it had a wonderful berry flavor, along with a fun look and sweetness from the drizzle.

Many could say that Starbucks has had its game on for the past couple of weeks, with many new creations of Frappuccinos attracting new customers every day. From Mermaid Frappuccinos to Dragon Frappuccino’s, they’ve covered everything from the ocean to the sky and everything in-between. But who knows, there could be a Narwhal Frappuccino attracting new customers next week.
